What is AlternativeWatches all about

We love watches.

We have learned to love watches from a young age on.
A watch is so much more than just a utility tool that tells the time.
In the times we live in almost everyone of us has a cellphone showing the exact time and date. One would think this technological evolution will make turn the watch into an item of the past. But that clearly didn't happen. Quite the opposite is true.
The watch has found its place as a status symbol and fashion statement. Even more a watch is  often passed on through generations and cherished as a historical as well as status symbol among many.
A father passing his watch on to his son, a pilot watch that was worn during a war are just some of many anecdotes coming to mind.

Watches will be worn on wrists of people from every economic background and are proudly shown off at events or every day live.

Many brands, such as Rolex, Richard Mille, Tudor, IWC, etc.  have seen a huge revival in recent years and  their demand is through the  roof.
While only a few of us can actually afford those watches, there are numerous alternative watches out there that are also beautiful and qualitative not much inferior to those brands, but cary a much lower price tag.

We made it to our mission to find, test, and review some of those alternative models and categorise them by price and model. In some cases we find watches costing a fraction of the 'branded' original that are still high quality watches.
